There are many kinds of happy that I can’t explain
hobbies that take all my cares away.
Things I can do that make my heart feel light
and make me feel that this is a really nice life.
Play the piano. Sing out loud.
A bus-ride while the sun is still out.
A walk down the road. Travel by train.
When the weather gets wet – a stroll in the rain.
These are my kinds of happy and they make my heart feel light.
The busy doesn’t take over. And we’re building a really nice life.
It’s taken us years to build a workflow that helps us manage the online part of our lives that one just cannot escape these days, and yet keep it in it’s place so we get time for real.
This still is a work in progress. The initial stages were a daily effort but it’s getting easier now as some of the changes in our workflow are becoming habits.

The poem expresses it beautifully! I’m glad things are becoming habit and the “norm”!

Thanks so much! Yes they are and it feels so worth all the effort it has taken and still takes. For me to reach this place and stay there.

It’s great to hear that you have found your own kinds of happy, and that they help to keep the busy from taking over. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but finding those moments of joy can make all the difference.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem! It’s a great reminder to focus on the things that make us happy and to appreciate the simple pleasures in life.
