I could look at you in envy for all the things you have the ease with which you cope and your luck when things get bad. You show me I can shape my world and bring that little ease. That when the wind is strong we might need to bend, or sway like those sturdy old trees. I see the work you’ve put in and I see the dues you’ve paid and your graceful acceptance when all you try just fails. I see that every chance you’ve got you’ve carved out for yourself and I’m grateful to have you in my life. My teachers and my friends.
To all the wonderful women I know. For your ideas. Your warmth. For your trying.
And for your skill in finding a way.
