To choose different
and dress different.
To make mistakes,
acknowledge them, and learn to be better.
Freedom to change what is wrong in oneself and freedom to grow.
Freedom to BE.
This poem without rhyme is quite different from my usual style of writing. I decided to write on what freedom means to me. It’s a spur-of-the-moment write, also something unusual for me, because I take time with writing. So please forgive me if there are many ideas that I have missed.
Freedom is the right to express my opinion
that’s tied to a duty to have respect for your feelings.
Freedom is the quiet that sings through the noise
and the happiness I feel when I hear your voice.from ‘Freedom’ a poem I wrote to celebrate 20 years of marriage at my first blogging platform. Link here.
I’d like to talk about the personal aspects of freedom and am interested in your thoughts on this aspect of freedom only. Any comments that relate to spheres outside personal freedom will be deleted because I’d like this post to make all of you, my readers, think on what freedom means to you personally.
All systems that we create for ourselves – within the home, within society, and even within our county, flow from our perception of what personal freedom means to us.
