No Need for Words

There’s no need for words
it’s all said in your deeds
kind and thoughtful or bitter and mean.
The relaxed happy in the lines of your face
or the cold calculating mask that’s taken it’s place.

There’s no need for words
we can all see quite well.
And if we don’t, your face is a story that time will tell.

I’ve been on a writing break this year and have spent a lot more time scheduling my day. It’s been a year of change, challenge and growth for me. A year that has taught me to schedule time for myself so that I have the resources I need for my family.

A year with very little time to write poetry even though the ideas flow. It feels nice to get back to it again.
